We handle the rest.

See everything we take care of
  • Upgrades only when they're truly needed. A full panel doesn't always mean a new service. Your home's real load is calculated under OESC Rule 8-200, and when it's safe, the charger goes in without an upgrade.
  • One written price for the agreed scope. Everything included is listed in your quote. If we find a hidden problem, we show you and price it before doing anything.
  • Your home stays clean. Minimal cutting, neat conduit, protected floors, and a vacuum before we leave.
  • Ready for your next car. Planning a second EV? The wiring is sized and placed so adding it later is a quick job, not a new project.
  • Placed where you park. We put the charger where the cable reaches your car's charge port without stretching, and if you'd like its position or the conduit run a little different, we adjust it, within the agreed scope, until you're happy with how it looks.
  • Charging the day we finish. Configured for your circuit, connected to Wi-Fi and registered before we pack up.
  • Permit to certificate, handled. ESA filing, inspection booking and your Certificate of Acceptance, all under our licence. Condo board or insurer needs documents? Just ask.
  • One electrician from quote to inspection. The person who plans your job is the person you talk to. No call centre, no handoffs.
  • Patching and painting, if you want it. Our trade partners finish the wall, so you don't have to find anyone.
  • 2-year workmanship warranty, in writing.

Level 1 vs Level 2 —
Here's the Difference

Most EV owners aren't sure which charger they need. Here it is explained simply.

110V standard outlet for Level 1 EV charging
Level 1
Standard Outlet
3–5 km per hour of charging

Uses a standard 120V outlet. No special installation. Takes 30–50 hours for a full charge — slow for daily use.

Best for: Short daily commutes under 30 km, occasional EV use

Multiple EV chargers installed in a multi-residential building parking garage
Commercial
Commercial / Multi-Unit
Multiple vehicles · Load managed

For condos, offices, and commercial properties. Requires load calculation, management system, and building electrical assessment.

Best for: Condo boards, businesses, multi-unit buildings

Will My Electrical Panel
Handle a Charger?

This is what most EV owners worry about. Here's what actually determines the answer.

✓
Your panel is likely ready if:

You have a 200A breaker panel with available space and a standard household load. A Level 2 charger requires a dedicated 60A breaker — if your panel has room and available capacity, installation is straightforward.

⚠
An upgrade may be needed if:

You have a 100A panel, a fuse box, no available breaker slots, or a high existing load — such as two kitchens, a hot tub, or heavy appliances. We calculate your available capacity before recommending anything.

We assess your panel remotely — photos of your electrical panel and parking area are usually all we need to give you a straight quote. No site visit required in most cases.

4 Steps.
You Do Very Little.

Installation is usually booked within the week. Once we're on-site, most jobs take 5 to 6 hours — you charge your car the same night.

3
Permit & Install

We open the ESA permit and submit everything it needs. We install the charger cleanly and safely. Typically 5 to 6 hours on installation day.

4
Charge Tonight

ESA inspection passed. Charger tested and explained. Plug in your car — wake up to a full battery.

Clean, Professional Routing

Many charger installs need little or no drywall cutting — the cable runs in neat conduit, bent straight and level and properly secured, not draped across your wall. Where a run does call for an opening, we keep it minimal and cut only where it's truly needed. We cover the area before we start and vacuum up before we leave — no mess left behind.

The Permit Isn't Paperwork. It's Protection.

Every Actus installation includes a pulled ESA permit and a passed inspection — not as an add-on, but as part of the job. An unpermitted charger can void your home insurance, void the charger's manufacturer warranty, and must be disclosed when you sell the house. You start charging the night we install. The paperwork protects you for years. The wire size used for your circuit matters just as much — see why #6 AWG is almost always the right choice for EV charger circuits.

What Does It Cost?

Every price includes the load check, all materials, the ESA permit and inspection, cleanup and a 2-year workmanship warranty. Comparing quotes? Make sure each one covers the same list. Final price confirmed after panel photo assessment — tap any row to see what's included.

From $1,100

Range depends on scope — breaker work, load management, or sub-panel

Everything from the Standard Installation included — plus whichever of these your panel actually requires:

✓
Free up space in your panel
When your panel is full, replacing or consolidating breakers often creates the room the charger needs — without touching the service.
✓
Load management system — to avoid a full service upgrade
If your panel is tight, a load management system lets you add the charger without a costly full service upgrade. We only install it when the numbers call for it — and it's far more cost-effective than a full service upgrade.
✓
New sub-panel for extra room
A new sub-panel gives extra room for your EV charger circuit when the main panel has no space left.

ESA permit, utility coordination, and inspection

Common Questions —
Straight Answers

Tap any question to read the answer.

No. In Ontario, electrical work you hire out must be done by a Licensed Electrical Contractor, and the contractor holding the permit is responsible for all the work on site. A contractor isn't allowed to take out permits for unlicensed people or companies, and its Master Electrician can be designated to only one company at a time. If the permit names a company that didn't do your job, so does your Certificate of Acceptance, the document your insurer and a future buyer rely on. We file every job under our own licence, #7013957.
Hardwired means the charger is permanently wired directly to your panel — no outlet, no plug. It's the cleaner, more permanent install and delivers the full output your charger supports. This is the standard choice for most home installations. NEMA 14-50 is a 240V outlet the charger plugs into. It provides slightly less power and adds a connection point, but allows you to take the charger with you if you move. Note: in Ontario, a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed for an EV charger is dedicated to that purpose only — it cannot be used for other appliances. We advise on which makes more sense based on your charger, panel location, and situation. Both require an ESA permit.
It depends on your situation. If you have only a Tesla, we recommend installing the standard Tesla Wall Connector — it's purpose-built for your vehicle and delivers the full charging speed. If you have a Tesla and another EV, or you're planning to switch vehicles in the future, we recommend the Tesla Universal Wall Connector — it uses a CCS adapter and works with any EV brand. Both are hardwired, high-output chargers. We help you choose the right one during the assessment.
In Ontario, all EV charger installations require an ESA permit by law. Installing without a permit creates three serious risks: it can void your home insurance if there is ever an incident, it can void the charger's manufacturer warranty, and it can potentially affect your vehicle's warranty as well. When you sell your home, unpermitted electrical work must be disclosed and can delay or complicate the sale. We handle the permit on every single job — no exceptions.
For a standard Level 2 installation where the panel is ready, most jobs take 5 to 6 hours on installation day. If panel work is also required, allow a full day. We confirm the timeline during the assessment so you can plan accordingly.
A cheaper quote is almost always missing something. A complete installation includes: licensed labour, properly sized wiring, protected wire routing, dedicated 60A circuit, ESA permit, and inspection. Every item on that list has a real cost. When a quote comes in significantly lower, something is missing from that list. We won't remove any of these items — each one exists to protect you, your home, and your vehicle. What you get with Actus Electric is the complete job — done legally, inspected, and guaranteed.
It depends on the building's existing infrastructure. If the building already has an EV charging system in place, we can connect your spot to it — that's a straightforward installation job. If no infrastructure exists, this is a more complex project that requires engineering drawings before installation can begin. If drawings are already in place, we can quote and start work immediately. If not, we can help coordinate with a licensed engineer to get there. Either way, condo projects involve more parties and a longer timeline than a standard home install — we're upfront about that from the first conversation.
We install all major brands. If you already have a charger (Tesla Universal Wall Connector, Autel, Grizzl-E, EVIQO, ChargePoint, Flo, Enel X JuiceBox, etc.) we install it. If you haven't bought one yet, we advise on the best option for your vehicle and can direct you to the right source. We work with all makes and models.
Yes. Actus Electric is a ChargePoint Partner with certified Home Flex installation. We handle the circuit, ESA permit and setup, the same as any charger we install.
We install across Toronto & GTA, including Mississauga, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Brampton, Markham, Oakville, Burlington, and Milton. We open the ESA permit and submit everything it needs. We book the inspection wherever you are.

"We had a great experience with Sergii from Actus Electric on a tricky EV charger installation. Despite challenging conditions—including snowstorms—he showed up, stayed committed, and got the job done right. His communication was clear, consistent, and reliable throughout the entire process, which made everything stress-free. … Highly recommend Sergii and Actus Electric for EV charger installs or any electrical work—skilled, dependable, and a true professional."

"Sergii did a fantastic job with the EV installation. First we planned out the path that would be the easiest to follow from my breaker box to the garage this was plan A. Then we also planned out an alternative plan B in case it didn't pan out as we expected and had to take a different route. We discussed what sort of charger I wanted to install and made suggestions to make the system future proof as well. He was on time on install day and brought a helper. Himself and his workers are insured under WSIB and commercial liability insurance, plus he took care of the remote inspection process and offered a warranty for his installation. … I'm very satisfied with my new EV outlet!"

"… Sergii was very punctual and took the time to explain things in detail, ensuring I understood how the charger worked and what to expect. He was efficient, got the job done quickly, and took extra care to make sure everything was installed perfectly. … Additionally, he left the area clean and tidy, which I really appreciated. … He's the real deal!"
